Rhythmix manages and delivers the Youth Music Action Zone for the South East region and the West Regional Coordinator will develop and oversee the delivery of the Rhythmix programme in the West Area (Surrey, West Sussex and SW London area) in line with Rhythmix and Local Authority priorities.
You will have experience of:-
• project managing community/ arts or music projects • liaising with multiple partners to deliver workshops programmes • identifying and applying for funding • monitoring, reporting and evaluation • developing sustainable projects

Dance practitioner specialising in Early Years Dance - Dance in Devon - posted 23.8.2010  deadline: Friday 3 September
As part of an exciting new project linking into the Change4Life initiative, we are looking for an experienced dance practitioner specialising in Early Years dance to deliver storytelling, movement and dance sessions. The project aims to get young children moving through dance and movement with their parents by demonstrating the opportunity for people within their own life settings to dance/move more with their youngsters. The practitioner will be required to work closely with a film maker to produce a DVD which will ultimately be used in a number of other early years settings across Exeter.

Volunteer Crew members sought for The CIAO! Ark - posted 23.8.2010 area: Marlborough House, Pall Mall, London. dates: Wednesday 8 to Sunday 19 September 2010
The CIAO! Ark is one of the major installations which will make up the extraordinary A Garden Party to Make a Difference in Marlborough House, Clarence House and Lancaster House gardens in Central London in September. The Garden Party is an imaginative part of The Prince of Wales Start initiative which aims to give demonstrate ways in which we can all help build a sustainable future.
The CIAO! Ark will be hosting an exhibition of work by children from 10 schools in Oxfordshire, running workshops across a range of art-form areas and other events. The CIAO! Ark crew will provide information, maintain public welfare and enhance the experience of visitors to The CIAO! Ark at A Garden Party to Make a Difference.
Crew will be provided with refreshments, a sandwich lunch, travel expenses (up to a maximum of 5.60) and there will be frequent breaks whilst on duty. You will have an opportunity to explore the other events featured as part of the daily programme (tickets would cost 15) and we will provide you with a post event reference, on request.
A Garden Party to Make a Difference is open from 10am to 6pm each day from Wednesday 8th to Sunday 19th September 2010. Crew members muster at 9.30am (for 10am opening - 2pm finish) or 1.30pm (for 2pm start - 6pm finish).

Volunteer Theatre Practitioners wanted - Hackney Shed - posted 23.8.2010  area: London deadline: Tuesday 31 August 2010
Hackney Shed is a Children's and Youth Theatre set up by Chickenshed in 2001 that follows the principles of Chickenshed's inclusive work.
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to commit to working with us for one evening a week from September to December as we create our 2010 production. We are looking for practitioners who are keen to gain experience in working with children and young people in an inclusive environment and to share their talents with us! We are particularly hoping to find people with skills in movement and dance, music, devised drama and directing, set or costume design or technical and stage management experience to support the group as we rehearse and perform our exciting new show!
We meet on a Tuesday evening in school term times and are lucky enough to have use of fantastic theatre facilities.

The Little Angel Theatre in Islington is the home of British puppetry (www.littleangeltheatre.com) and the place to be if you are interested in puppet making or performing. The education department are looking for keen volunteers who want to gain experience in workshop settings assisting our highly skilled workshop leaders in running puppet making and performance workshops with adults, children and young people.
This is an ideal opportunity for anyone who wants education work experience in an arts/theatre environment or for people who want to develop their own puppet making and performing workshop delivery skills. We have a range of volunteering opportunities working with different age groups, in a variety of settings and on long and short term projects. Voluntary Artists needed for the Galleries of Justice Museum - posted 16.8.2010
The Galleries of Justice Museum, based in Nottingham city centre is looking for two voluntary artists to contribute artwork towards the up and coming exhibition ‘Convict Ship; a journey into the unknown’
This exhibition will tell the story of Nottingham’s most notorious convicts as they were transported to Australia. We are looking for an artist that specialises in scenic drawing that is able to paint a dock scene onto the walls or canvas, and someone who is able to draw child friendly cartoon illustrations onto panels.
This is a voluntary position so we are unable to pay you for your time but we can reimburse travel expenses.
This would be a great opportunity for those to create work for an exhibition, add to your portfolio and to create work for an educational resource within a museum.

The main support is welfare grants for those with unforeseen financial emergencies and one off grants to help those who are ill, injured and disabled. The Administrative Assistant will provide support to the Secretary in the running of the charity and also in the role of landlord of our own building dealing with tenant and maintenance issues.
You will require good organisational and time management skills. Good communication skills are essential and an empathy with the clients. Experienced in IT is essential and knowledge of databases would be beneficial. You must be able to work in a very small team and be prepared to be on your own when the Secretary is out of the office

Our sister organisation, Voluntary Arts Scotland, is recruiting a paid staff member to continue to develop and operate their Scotland-wide Voluntary Arts Ambassadors scheme - taking the local arts & crafts voice into community planning. Based in Edinburgh, this post is three days a week (22.5 hours) – on a salary of £21,777 pro rata per annum plus pension.
Interviews will take place 1 September 2010. They would also like you to be available for all or part of the VAA Induction training 9-10 September.
