Course description

Having an active digital presence in 2019 is vital. However, search engines such as Google and social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are always changing their algorithms, which creates an extra challenge for digital marketers and content creators.

This practical course will allow you to explore free tools you can use to create eye-catching and engaging content on-the-go and with no technical expertise necessary!

You will also see examples of current best practice for sharing digital content using social media, as well as develop your own mini sharing strategy, considering different methods to drive traffic to your organisation's website, and meaningfully engage with your target audience.

Learning outcomes

During the workshop, you will...

  • Learn how to optimise your website's content for search engines (SEO)
  • Use creative online tools to create compelling content to engage with your audience
  • Explore the current trends on social media platforms
  • Begin to develop a content strategy for your organisation

After the course you will be sent a copy of the course presentation, with a list of free online tools and resources to use in your day-to-day work.
