Knit Toxteth is a Community Knitting Project led by Chantelle Cook, and Red brick Vintage. This socially engaged art project will culminate in an outdoor yarn bombing installation along Upper Parliament Street. Get involved and help transform Upper Parliament Street into a welcoming, friendly and caring Liverpool street.

Our first project will be to create hearts that will be hung along Upper Parliament street, from Princes Road to the bottom of the street ending at Red Brick Vintage on Stanhope street. You can help by simply knitting or crocheting hearts (any size, pattern and color) and dropping them off at Red Brick Vintage - The Courtyard, Cains Brewery Village, Stanhope Street, Liverpool L8 5XJ. We are accepting all of your knitted hearts from now until 5 May when we will be hanging the hearts along Upper Parliament Street. You can also be involved in hanging the hearts with us and handing out free coffee and tea or cleaning up the streets.

If you are not a knitter or crocheter and you still want to be involved:
• Donate yarn.
SATURDAY 6 MAY, 10:00am, starting at the corner of Upper Parliament street and Princes Road (near the Rialto)
• Come and help hang up hearts along Upper Parliament street.
