Meet me at the Museum is a series of four free drop-in events every month for older people to come along to a museum or gallery and explore a different theme each month. It is dementia friendly.

May's theme takes a nostalgic look back at the 1960s and 1970s, and explores the fashion, news and styles of the two decades. It will be an opportunity to talk about your memories of the time or events that happened, or sit back and enjoy the chat with our friendly visitor hosts, and relax with a tea or coffee among friends.

This themed event event runs four times every month in rotation, on Fridays, 11am-1pm at the following four museums and art galleries: Sudley House (first Friday), the Lady Lever Art Gallery (second Friday), Museum of Liverpool (third Friday) and World Museum (fourth Friday of the month).

The events are a way of using objects and themes to start conversations, share memories and enjoy each other’s company.

You don’t need to book, just pop in on your own, or bring a friend, a family member, or a person you care for. Groups are welcome - if bringing a group please email [email protected] in advance to let us know.

This Meet me at the Museum event is held at the Lady Lever Art Gallery. Directions and access information are available on the Lady Lever Art Gallery website.
