Aberdeen Council's Creative Funding Programme offers cultural organisations, community groups, charities and individual artists or creatives the opportunity to apply for support to develop and/or deliver creative activity.

Creative Funding covers a range of areas within arts, culture, heritage and the creative industries. Proposals that align with the national year of 'History, Heritage and Archaeology' are particularly encouraged.

A range of different types of activity are supported through this fund, including:

  • Delivering activity - The delivery of different types of projects or activities across various creative areas. Examples include exhibitions, performances, festivals, workshops or hosting of events.
  • Developing ideas and projects - In specific cases, the development of projects prior to their delivery will be supported. Examples include research and pre-production activity.
  • Professional development - Support for the professional and creative development of individuals based within the organisation making the application. Examples include attendance at training courses, mentoring or other support programmes. 

Organisations may apply for up to a maximum of £15,000.
