Aberdeen International Youth Festival is a multi-arts festival held yearly that invites young people from all over the world to perform at various locations throughout Aberdeenshire. Acts during this festival include theatrical, dance, choral, orchestral performances.

The Festival is currently looking for volunteers in the following roles:

Events - The Event Team members play a vital role in the smooth running of the Festival, supporting the participating groups during their stay in Aberdeen. You will be required to stay in the halls of residence during this time and full board and meals will be supplied.

Chaperoning - Accompany participants of the summer workshops to their workshops and meals, and be a point of call for any information they may need. You will be required to stay in the halls of residence during this time and full board and all meals will be supplied.

Courier - A festival ambassador who will act as a link between the festival organisers and visiting performers, assisting, helping and being courteous to them. You'll make sure that groups follow their schedules and that information passes between groups and relevant festival staff. You will be required to stay in the halls of residence during this time and full board and meals will be supplied.

You should have excellent timekeeping and organisational skills, basic IT skills (Word, Excel, email), previous experience in a similar role or demonstrable transferable skills, reliability, ability to work proficiently in a busy environment. Prior knowledge of the festival and previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.

Board and meals at Hillhead Halls, Aberdeen University will be paid for during the festival, and a fee will be given at the end as a thank you for your time.
