Listing your event on the Voluntary Arts Festival website is a great way to promote your events and activities as part of a nationwide celebration of creative participation - and hopefully attract some new people to join you.

To ensure visitors to the Voluntary Arts Festival website have all the information they need when searching for events to attend, we have created an event form that prompts you to enter an event title, description, date/time, venue address, accessibility information and upload a photo.

When filling in the Voluntary Arts Festival event form, please consider the following:

  • Upload a great photograph to illustrate your event and make it shine! Use a standard format to make sure it is easy to upload, i.e. JPG and PNG files
  • Price

If your event is free, please add FREE at the top of your event description.

If your event has a cost per person and/or is ticketed, please add PAID and specify the cost of the event at the top of your event description on the form.

If there is limited capacity or an age restriction, please specify this in the event description of your event, i.e. 15 places only, for 18+ years only etc.

  • Accessibility - For people with accessibility requirements, the process of looking for events and identifying which ones are suitable to attend, can be both frustrating and time consuming. To make it clear who can and can’t access your event please choose one, or more, of the following options and add these at the end of your event description on the event form:
Wheelchair access
Wheelchair accessible toilets
Level Access
Hearing/induction loop
Captioning available
Audio description
Guide dogs welcome
Signed performance
Relaxed performance
Accessible for non-English speakers

At the bottom of the event form you will be prompted to sign up to the Voluntary Arts website by adding your name and email address. Once you have entered this information and clicked submit, please check your inbox as you will receive an email asking you to confirm your sign up.

Please note: each event has to be checked and approved by our team before it is made live on the website. If you have any questions, please contact info@voluntaryarts.org 


FAQ

  • If the Google Map doesn't match up with your location after you have added a postcode and address, don’t worry! We can access this through the back-end of the website and will make sure the pin appears in the right place on the map.
  • If the form shows as uploading for a long time after you click ‘Submit Your Event’, don’t worry, we’ve probably received it at our end and will be able to approve it and add it to the live website. If in doubt, please contact us at info@voluntaryarts.org
