Opportunities Arts jobs Creative opportunities at ART PARK Glasgow Area: Glasgow Deadline: 20 April / 2 May / 3 May 2017 (read on for details) ART PARK Glasgow at House for an Art Lover is a cultural public space with a gallery, heritage centre, artist studios and workshops in Bellahouston Park. Since opening in 2014, ART PARK has provided support and opportunities for local and international artists, curators, students and graduates. A successful funding application to Creative Scotland is now enabling this exciting venue to establish a comprehensive programme of opportunities to take place in its recently developed ART-sheds and as a result is currently advertising a number of creative opportunities for artists and new graduates, including: OPEN CALL FOR THE PROJECT SPACE Deadline: 20 April ART PARK at House for an Art Lover is now taking submissions for the ART-shed’s Project Space for 2017. Proposals from creative practitioners across the visual arts, design and architecture for exhibitions, performances or events to take place the Project Space, are now being invited. This opportunity is available to practitioners at any stage in their careers who wish to experiment with new ideas and work as individuals, groups, or as part of a collective. Artists will be provided with a fee of £1,300 to support the creation/fabrication of new work. Artists will have use of the Project Space for the month of July. House for an Art Lover will provide invigilators for the exhibition if required, support throughout the installation and marketing. The deadline for applications is 12 noon on 20 April. Interviews with selected artists will be held on Friday 28 April. OPEN CALL FOR ILLUSTRATOR Deadline: 3 May 2017 House for an Art Lover is a visitor attraction, café and events venue which expanded in 2014 to include the ART PARK. Since opening in 2014, ART PARK has provided support and opportunities for local and international artists, curators, students and graduates. House for an Art Lover would like to invite applications from illustrators to design a new map that will be given to all visitors to the House, ART PARK and Sculpture Garden. The selected artist will be provided with a fee of £750. There is also the option of a desk space in one of ART PARK Glasgow's shared studios while you work on the design. WORKSHOP LEADERS Deadline: 2 May 2017 This summer, ART PARK Glasgow will be hosting a programme of graduate-led workshops developed and delivered by recent graduates. Graduates are now invited to submit workshop proposals detailing: • The kind of workshop they would like to deliver; such as printmaking, ceramics, performance art etc.• Materials and equipment required• If there is a particular audience they are interested in working with• A CV detailing any relevant experience Five proposals will be selected to be part of the programme. The budget for each artist will be £300. How the artist uses the budget will differ from project to project and depend on cost of materials and duration of the workshop.
