Opportunities Funding Awards for All Scotland Area: ScotlandDeadline: Ongoing Awards for All Scotland gives out grants of between £500 and £10,000 to projects that bring communities, arts and sports together to enjoy a range of activities. This is a partnership programme with Big Lottery Fund, sportscotland and Creative Scotland. Who can apply? You can apply to Awards for All Scotland if you are a not for profit / voluntary or community group, social enterprise, community council, school or statutory body. Creative Scotland are back… What does this mean for your project? Applications coming from arts or sports groups are most likely to be considered through Creative Scotland and sportscotland. Other groups will usually be considered through Big Lottery Fund. Creative Scotland encourage applications that remove any barriers to the involvement of arts and creative activity. What types of projects would Creative Scotland like to see? Projects that encourage creative experiences within the community. This could include activities that: Work with skilled and experienced artists, tutors or mentors Partnerships with cultural organisations Opportunities to experience new art forms, creative activities, cultures and languages Opportunities for reflective learning Are there any priorities for creative projects? Creative Scotland will prioritise projects that: Engage people from areas of high deprivation Removes financial barriers to access creative activities Address rural isolation and encourages activity in rural areas Engages older people, people in care homes and carers Engages care leavers Supports integration of refugees and asylum seekers Recent arts / cultural recipients include – the Largs Viking Festival to help run their 13th century Viking village; Gauldry Village Hall to set up a community cinema; Southside Film Festival in Glasgow to add a health & wellbeing programming strand; and drama group ‘Shakespeare’s Kids’ to expand their work to younger children.
