Your Creativity Creativity Map Craft Council: Volunteers Organisation: Craft Council Location: LondonRole: Volunteers Date: 28 Feb - 3 Mar 2019Deadline: 31 Dec 2018 Volunteer opportunity at Collect 2019 - International Art Fair for Modern Craft and Design The Crafts Council is seeking volunteers to support the fair at Collect, which is held at the Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea, London, from 28th Feb- 3rd March 2019. Collect presents an unrivalled opportunity to see and buy exquisite craft-led works by artists and makers represented by British and international galleries. Filling all three floors of the Saatchi Gallery, Collect profiles the exceptional skill and intellectual rigour behind contemporary craft, featuring works in ceramics, glass, metal, wood and textiles alongside makers working in non-traditional materials with experimental techniques. Collect forms a key part of the Crafts Council’s work to make the UK the best place to create, see, collect and learn about contemporary craft. To find out more about Collect and the Crafts Council, visit www.collect2019.org.uk Who are we looking for?We would welcome applications from enthusiastic, friendly, professional and confident individuals who are keen to gain experience in the world of art fairs, the craft & design sector and events management. We would also like to speak to those looking for work experience as part of a related undergraduate course. Events experience desirable.You will need to be available for a minimum of three half-days, with the possibility of late nights, between 27th February - 4th March 2019. You will be required to attend an interview at the Crafts Council’s offices on 18thJanuary 2019, and a briefing day on 1st February 2019.
