In 2018 Voluntary Arts Wales undertook a research project to help improve our understanding of the different forms of creativity that exist in communities throughout Wales.

Creative Community Conversations (Sgyrsiau Creadigol Cymunedol) was a year-long exploration of the breadth and diversity of everyday creative activity that takes places across Wales, which predominantly exists without the support of public funds. The work was informed by an expert panel, and we conducted an extensive series of open conversations, complemented by surveys and engagement events.
