Opportunities Funding Culture Bridge North East Fund Area: North EastDeadline: 9am, Wednesday 18 October 2017 Culture Bridge North East Fund was established at the Community Foundation in February 2017 with a founding gift from Culture Bridge North East of £100,000. The fund then attracted match funding from our Mr Murray’s Million Pound Match creating a £150,000 endowment fund. The income raised each year enables grant making which supports access to quality arts and cultural activity for young people across the North East. The Culture Bridge North East Fund provides grants of between £250 – £1500 to support working relationships between arts practitioners/cultural organisations on one side and schools/youth settings on the other. Priority will be given to projects working with young people from whom access and inclusion with quality arts activities and provision is an issue. Applicants can be education or community settings working with children and young people aged 0 – 25 years, e.g. schools, youth clubs, Pupil Referral Units etc. Examples of what a grant can fund; Fees for workshops with a professional or specialist Staff time General art materials, printing costs, etc Travel to and from a venue Ticket or admission costs Contribution towards the costs of an Arts Award project Hire of specialist equipment or specialist venue Applications open on Monday 11 September and will close at 9:00am on Wednesday 18 October (5 weeks).
