Area: Glasgow
Deadline: 16 June 2017

Igniting, inspiring and nourishing the dancer in everyone, Dance House offers a wide range of dance classes and courses for adults and an exciting and diverse community programme as well as supporting and developing the independent professional dance sector.

A vital part of the dance infrastructure in Scotland, Dance House Glasgow is a key partner in the realisation of the phase 2 development of The Briggait, where the organisation currently has its office base. The Briggait Creation Centre will give Glasgow its first dedicated public base for dance and physical performance and provide a home for our extensive programmes.

As part of Dance House's ongoing development, it is seeking new members to augment its existing Board of Trustees and would particularly welcome applications from those who already have experience of serving on a board within the charity sector with specialist skills in HR, Legal, Finance, and Cultural Leadership.

The Board of Trustees meets 4 to 5 times a year and there is an expectation that Board members will occasionally attend events and activities as well as to advocate for the organisation when appropriate.

Please note that this is a non-remunerated post.

To apply, please send your CV and a covering letter explaining why you would like to be involved and what skills and experience you have to offer, for attention of Ailsa-Mary Gold, Artistic Director/Chief Executive: ailsa-mary@dancehouse.org.

Dance House welcomes and encourages applications from people from all backgrounds, and particularly welcomes applications from Disabled and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates.
