Why creativity matters 'Dance to Health' report published Aesop, an arts charity and social enterprise based in Oxford, has published the findings of its pilot project, 'Dance to Health'. The programme worked with older people to reduce the impact and recurrence of falls which, according to Aesop's research 'represent the most frequent and serious type of accident in people aged 65 and over. 25% of ambulance calls are due to older people’s falls. After a fall, an older person is 50% likely to have seriously impaired mobility and 10% will die within a year.' 'Dance to Health' aims to tackle this problem, reducing the need for medical care and giving older people a positive experience of physical strength and recovery through enjoyable movement.
