Deadline: 31 January 2019, 5pm

Edinburgh International Film Festival is looking for new members for its Youth Advisory Group - so if you’re aged 19-25 and love film, get involved!

A legacy from the Year of Young People, this expanded strand continues the Festival’s commitment to programming films and events for young audiences interested in filmmaking and the moving image industries.

Youth Advisory Group members will help shape EIFF’s youth events programme and help them get more young adults involved with the festival. Participants will also curate the New Visions Short Film Competition – open to all young filmmakers in Scotland. Shortlisted films will be screened at EIFF, with the Youth Advisory Group closely involved with the screenings and award ceremonies. Acting as figureheads for the EIFF Youth strand, group members will also get to co-host events at the Festival.

The Youth Advisory Group will meet regularly at Filmhouse in Edinburgh and during the Festival (19-30 June 2019). It is FREE to join and participants will receive a Student Delegate Pass which allows access to Press screenings and Industry events.

Interested in joining The Youth Advisory Group? To apply, please send the following to [email protected]

- A short review (100 words max) of a film of your choice.
- Why are you interested in joining?
- What 3 qualities are essential for a successful film?

Please note: Travel expenses will be reimbursed for participants outside of Edinburgh City. EIFF values diversity, promotes equality and challenges discrimination - they encourage and welcome applications from young people from all backgrounds.
