Location: Dumfries & Galloway
Deadline: 14 December 2018

The Assistant Venue Manager will work in collaboration with the Associate Producer to deliver the day-to-day running of the venues on the Festival Village site. You will assume responsibility for the running of the Spiegeltent, the Festival Hub and the Container Theatre.

You will assume responsibility for the venue’s schedule, welcoming in artists, managing technical set up with suppliers and running an effective front of house system with volunteers. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the venue is left fit for purpose at the end of every day and ready to open for artists and audiences at the start of the day.

You will be working in an environment that will be mixed with paid roles, management roles and volunteer roles. You will become part of the Elektronika family that is a warm and dynamic community of people. Our audience are kings and queens and we work tirelessly to reward their commitment to our programmes. Our environments are fast paced and when you are not working on shift you are entitled to go watch any of the shows or events that we programme, as long as there is the capacity to do so.

This would suit someone in a learning role. Contract duration: Monday 7 January – Friday 6 February. Fee: £1,600 fixed fee.
