Opportunities Arts volunteering Emergency Exit Arts: Chair Area: LondonDeadline: 12pm, Friday 27 October 2017 The Board of Trustees of the charity Emergency Exit Arts (EEA) is seeking a Chair to support the leadership and governance of the organisation as it enters an exciting new phase of development. It is looking for an individual who is passionate about the contemporary arts and their place in society, who supports the ambitious artistic vision of EEA, and who has strong leadership qualities to help take the Board forward into the future. Role Summary: The role of the Chair is to ensure that the organisation complies with its financial and budgetary obligations, ensuring that good practice is followed at all times in relation to charity law, company law and any other relevant legislation or regulations and to make sure that the organisation pursues its objectives as defined in its governing document. Time Consideration: 4x Quarterly Board Meetings per annum.4x Quarterly Supervision meetings with Executive & Artistic Directors (which can coincide with Board meetings)1x AGM (Annual General Meeting), which is usually scheduled after a Board meeting6-10 x Regular telephone or face to face supervision/support meetings.Plus any additional meetings or Chair duties that may arise from time to time.
