ENCC - BECC 2017Deadline: Saturday 31 December 2016

The European Network of Cultural Centres (ENCC) currently represents over 3 000 cultural centres in at least 15 countries with more than 15 000 employees, thousands of volunteers and 40 million visitors per year. ENCC believes in actively empowering people to have a voice in society through arts and culture, to allow and facilitate citizens to express themselves creatively in open spaces, with respect for cultural equality, intercultural diversity and sustainability.

Bridge between European Cultural Centres (BECC) is an ENCC programme dedicated to staff members of cultural centres facilitating their international work experience and subsequently the acquisition of new competences and skills, crucial for providing better service for their community and audiences.

The BECC programme is the ENCC answer to supporting cultural centres staff into building their capacities to face new professional and social challenges, to build European cooperation and working communities, to reflect and exchange in a European and global context.

This call is addressed to young staff members of cultural centres planning their first professional mobility period within a peer organisation in Europe. The BECC programme is a minimum of 10 days staff exchange between cultural centres and it provides the selected participants with trainings, coaching, mentoring and overall assistance to the learning process. ENCC contributes financially to the mobility.

For 2016/2017 edition, the following priorities have been published:

  • Applications of young professionals (below 35 year old), from Eastern, Southern, South-Eastern Europe and neighbourhoods;
  • First experience in international mobility;
  • Professionals working on ENCC topics;
