Belfast Stitch n Bitch

< Back to Shortlist

Belfast Stitch n Bitch is a growing, inclusive collective of keen crafters and artists in Northern Ireland. Strong textile enthusiasts, tips and tricks can be found on their blog.

The group are involved in a range of charitable craft activities which are then donated to various organisations including maternity wards, Belfast’s SOS bus, and the homeless.

They also explore their street style with some creative yarn bombing throughout Belfast and other creative endeavours including Finn McCool’s Big Pants, and an attempt at breaking the world record for the largest patchwork Christmas stocking, the Big Sock.

Meeting weekly to share creative ideas and skills. The group are celebrating their 10 year anniversary  this year with a self-published book of knitting and crochet patterns written by members of Belfast Stitch n Bitch.

“We are excited to be part of a vibrant arts and crafting scene and we hope to continue making connections, passing on our skills, and building relationships for years to come.”
