Opportunities Training Everyday Creativity & Quality Principles Everyday Creativity & Quality Principles:A shared learning event for arts groups Wednesday 25 October 2017, Cardiff Cymraeg Voluntary Arts Wales invites you to a shared learning event, exploring everyday creativity and quality principles for arts groups. 10:00 Everyday Creativity – led by Jo Hunter, 64 Million Artists The morning session will discuss the report Everyday Creativity, written by 64 Million Artists. 64 Million Artists is a national campaign to unlock the potential of everyone in the UK through creativity. They were commissioned by Arts Council England to understand how the formal, funded cultural sector should be engaging with the creativity that people practice themselves, every day. The report explores how developing a culture of everyday creativity across the UK might contribute to a more democratic, accessible and open culture for all, and makes recommendations for how we can value and support everyday creativity. This session will explore the implications for the arts sector in Wales, and how we can achieve a balanced arts ecology where culture is valued by everyone. You can read the report Everyday Creativity here. 12:30 Lunch and networking 14:00 Quality Principles for voluntary arts groups – led by Rhian Hutchings, ArtWorks Cymru The afternoon session will introduce the ArtWorks Cymru Quality Principles. The Quality Principles were commissioned by Arts Council of Wales, and developed by ArtWorks Cymru partners. The session will explore what quality means to you, how you can use the Quality Principles to support the work you are developing, and give you an opportunity to consider a current or future project through the lens of the Quality Principles. In particular, it will explore what quality means in voluntary arts settings, and how the Quality Principles can be used by volunteer-led community arts groups.
