Date: 1 December 2018

For the first time, Scotland is joining in on 'Fair Saturday', a cultural festival that takes place across the globe, in which cultural and arts organisations come together to celebrate social causes.

Fair Saturday was set up as an antidote to Black Friday and this pilot initiative in Scotland is being delivered by the Scottish Government in partnership with the Fair Saturday Foundation.

In 2017, around 600 shows took place in 114 cities as part of Fair Saturday, with more than 100,000 attendees and generating around 189,000 Euros for social causes.

A diverse programme of events will be taking place across Scotland and you can join in, too. Visit https://standrews. for more information.
