Hearts for the Arts awards are an annual celebration of the local authorities who invest in the joy, excitement and life-enriching quality of the arts.

Voluntary Arts Wales is partnering alongside UK Theatre; Culture Counts; Local Government Association; TheatreNI; Wales Council for Voluntary Action and What Next? for this year’s National Campaign for the Arts’ Hearts for the Arts Awards.

Nominations are now open for the 2019 Hearts for the Arts Awards. The Awards are a celebration of cultural champions within Local Authority and the projects that place the arts at the centre of community life.

There are four annual Hearts For The Arts Awards. The Awards are an initiative of the National Campaign for the Arts, an organisation that campaigns for greater public investment in the arts to improve the lives of people across the UK. The awards are delivered by UK Theatre, and judged by a panel of esteemed figures in the arts.

From 12 September 2018 until voting closes on 2 November 2018, members of the public, arts professionals and local authorities can visit the Awards webpage to put nominations forward for the following categories:
