Great Places Area: Scotland-wide
Deadline for expressions of interests: 8 June 2017, 12 noon

Run by the Heritage Lottery Fund, the Great Place Scheme provides grants to partnerships led by not-for-profit organisations for projects in Scotland where there is a commitment to embed arts, culture and heritage in local plans and decision-making.

It offers funding for greater collaboration between cultural, community and civic organisations in tackling issues such as poverty and inequality, employment, education and health.

Applications must come from partnerships led by a not-for-profit organisation. Leadership from organisations from outside the cultural sector are positively welcomed, but it is expected that at least one arts, culture or heritage organisation is part of the partnership.

Heritage Lottery Fund expects to invest in five to ten places across Scotland (both rural and urban), and there is a total of £2.5 million available. Grants of between £100,000 and £1 million will be given for activity delivered over a period of up to three years, between 1 January 2018 and 31 December 2020.
