Opportunities Arts volunteering Hidden Door Festival 2017 - Event Volunteers Deadline: 17 March Area: Leith, Edinburgh Hidden Door Festival are looking for Event Volunteers to help make this years festival the best yet! The Hidden Door Festival showcases theatre, cinema, spoken word, visual art and music by local and international artists and aims to create a platform showcasing the arts to a wide-ranging audience. This year the festival will take place from the 26 May - 4 June in the renowned Old Leith Theatre. Event volunteers are a really important part of the festival. The building is currently derelict as it has been closed since 1988 so there’s a lot to do! We're looking for self-motivated team members for a range of duties which include: Event stewarding and crowd control; Invigilating on site artwork; Box office; Sound and lighting; Stage management and Photography. There may be some late shifts and weekend working over the festival. Self-motivated team players that wish to have new experiences and meet new and exciting people are encouraged to apply. For each shift volunteers will receive food and refreshments. On completion of three-four shifts, volunteers will receive a full festival pass worth approx. £120. Hidden Door will be happy to provide references for volunteers after the event, should they wish and discuss any further support.
