The Festival is currently looking for individuals and groups to get involved in 'Culture Day Forres', on Saturday 29 September -

This special day provides opportunities for artists, community groups, and the cultural and heritage sectors to promote the work they do - and it's a chance for audiences of all ages to connect with the diverse range of arts and cultural activity that takes place in Moray throughout the year.

If you'd like to showcase what you do, invite new audiences and members to join, and encourage participation in your group/activity throughout the year – then Culture Day Forres is the perfect platform.

The Buke of the Howlat is a new all singing, all dancing production due to premiere at Brodie Castle as part of the Findhorn Bay Festival this year and members of the local community are invited to join the cast

This stunning outdoor show is looking for volunteer community participants (aged 16+), with an interest in acting, movement, music making & being part of a world premier promenade performance, to be birds, aristocrats, soldiers and music makers. Performers must be available in the evenings during the Festival (Wednesday 26 September to Monday 1 October) and able to join rehearsals on some evenings and weekends in August & September.

If attending, please wear comfortable clothing to take part in drama and movement workshops. Music makers are asked to bring instruments – the production is particularly keen to feature fiddle, acoustic guitar, brass & woodwind players.

Would you like to be part of the 3rd Findhorn Bay Festival? Join the team of Festival Volunteers!

Volunteers are key to the success of the Findhorn Bay Festival and are needed from Wednesday 26 September to Monday 1 October 2018. Volunteering during the Festival promises to be an extravaganza of fun with a variety of roles needed day and night, indoors and outdoors, and across the whole of the Forres area.

The Findhorn Bay Festival provides a unique experience for volunteers with hands on skills learning, immersion in the local arts and cultural scene, whilst having a lot of fun and meeting new people.  And of course, you’ll get to see some events for free too!

The Festival is produced by Findhorn Bay Arts, who in 2015 received the Volunteer Friendly Award from tsiMORAY, an award in recognition of an inclusive volunteering approach within the community.

Travel expenses can be covered for all volunteers and those aged 16 to 25 will also be rewarded with Young Scot reward points.

Swarm Sculptures is a movement installation by Lucy Suggate that invites community and professional dancers of all ages and abilities to explore ‘the body as sculpture’.

People of all ages, dancing abilities and fitness levels are invited to take part in Swarm Sculptures.  With participatory workshops throughout the Summer, the group will work towards a final performance at Findhorn Bay Festival.
