Just So FestivalArea: Cheshire
Deadline: 14 August 2017

The Just So Festival is a multi-award winning annual weekend-long camping festival for children and their families. The festival provides a magical experience where art, music and literature are embedded and entwined in a beautiful and wondrous landscape.

It provides a range of musical, theatrical, and visual performances, workshops and installations within a wild, natural and magical setting. Every clearing and glade holds a new way to unleash creativity. You can watch a video about the festival on YouTube.

The festival have a host of training on site for volunteers, from working with artists to accessibility training, from production to the theatrical, this year it will also host a panel of professionals at the festival, so volunteers can ask all about how people got started, and how they got their ideas off the ground. You’ll also be around lots of experienced, exciting artists - performing alongside them.

The roles run from the 15 - 21 August. Staff and volunteers work alongside each other to build the festival site from scratch, a quite unique experience! This means there is always the chance to learn from a peer, ask lots of questions, and make a heap of new friends - lots of other volunteers are students too.

There are a variety of roles, from artist liaison to workshop leaders, front of house to stage management as well as more theatrical roles. So there is something to suit everyone, and the training to give them the skills to do it.

At the moment the festival is on the lookout for its main stage team, as well as its key artist liaison team.

See the Just So Festival website for details of different roles. If you have any questions about this volunteering opportunity at all, please don’t hesitate to contact Cathryn on cathryn@justsofestival.org.uk, or 07812671908.
