Manchester Craft and Design Centre (MCAD) offers a unique space for makers to create, present and sell the best of contemporary craft and design to the public and has done since 1982.

It is a not-for-profit company located in the former Victorian fish and poultry market in the creative ‘Northern Quarter’ of Manchester city centre. It also offers supporting services to craftspeople and designers by providing workshop/retail accommodation, exhibition opportunities and professional development events.

MCAD is currently undergoing a period of unprecedented development, and it has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing & Development Assistant to join its busy team.

The Marketing & Development Assistant will work closely with the Marketing & Digital Manager, working on day-to-day communications, marketing and fundraising projects to raise the Centre’s profile. It is looking for an individual with a passion for marketing and digital media, who enjoys working as part of a team and relishes a challenge.

You will have an interest in the arts, ‘A’ levels or equivalent and at least one year’s experience of working. An organised approach, commitment and resourcefulness will also be essential. You might not have everything that's listed on the Job Description: MCAD expects that the successful candidate will want to learn and develop in the role.

Hours: 3 days per week
Sarlary: £14,850.00 pro rata (21 hours per week)
Contract: Fixed Term until 31/3/2018
