This project is a partnership between Dún Uladh, the Ulster Regional Resource Centre for Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann and The Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association NI Branch (RSPBANI). It is funded by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council and Arts Council NI.

A newly composed suite of music, song and dance is being commissioned to highlight the shared history of the culture and heritage of the Fermanagh and Omagh District.

The suite will be performed by members of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann and the RSPBANI.

The Suite will be premiered in the two main Arts Theatres of the district, The Strule Arts Centre and The Ardhowen on the 2nd & 9th November 2019.

• The new suite should be from the Scottish and Irish traditional music idioms

• This unique suite will encapsulate local musical traditions and draw on influences from the landscape, history and character of the area.

• The final suite must be suitable for highly proficient/non-professional musicians aged over 18 years. The final suite must be suitable for scaling from ensemble group to full orchestra.

• The final suite will include a full range of instruments, dance and song to reflect our shared traditions.

• Name of pieces will reflect the district

Rehearsals for the suite will take place from September 2019 in Omagh & Enniskillen

Submissions received after the closing deadline will be judged ineligible. Proof of sending an email is not proof of receipt. All submissions will be acknowledged in writing.

All prices entered on the Pricing Schedule must be exclusive of VAT and in pounds sterling.
