Granton:hub - a community venue in Granton, Edinburgh, has a number of flexible meeting / workshop spaces available for creative activities and events. Groups interested in hiring a space or working in partnership are encouraged to get in touch.

Granton:hub is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation with a vision to re-purpose the historic Madelvic House into a thriving creative and cultural venue that will provide benefits to the local and wider community.

So far granton:hub has hosted community open days, painting workshops, exhibitions, yoga, bookbinding classes, garden sessions, group meetings and family workshops, and is now exploring how the building can continue to be used by and for the community.

There are 2 spaces available to hire at Madelvic House:

  • Main room - Suitable for large group activities, natural light, plug sockets, tables/chairs and projection screen available
  • Medium room - Medium sized workshop/meeting space with lots of natural light, sink/kitchen facilities located in an adjoining room and tables/chairs available

Wifi is provided and projection facilities can also be arranged.

Granton:hub has adopted a ‘sliding scale’ approach to room hire, meaning that room hire fees can be flexible depending on the nature of your event. Local community groups and individuals offering free or low-cost activities for the local community are particularly encouraged to get in touch to discuss partnership opportunities.

There is also a Weekend Exhibition package available, which includes use of both spaces and is ideal for individual or group exhibitions.
