At the forefront of community media development in the UK, Station House Media Unit operates across the regeneration areas of Aberdeen and with other disadvantaged and vulnerable individuals and groups across North East Scotland.

They are currently looking to recruit the following posts:

Project Administrator (maternity cover for up to one year, with the potential to extend) - The post-holder will work alongside the Senior Project Administrator and Finance Officer to provide extensive administrative support to the organisation. This will include: facilitation of the administrative structures evaluation and monitoring processes accounts and payroll functions and the HR administration for the organisation.

It will also include administrative support to the MAP project operating in HMP Grampian, which will require the post-holder to occasionally work in the prison, located in Peterhead. Extensive experience in administration duties is essential, as is a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, especially Excel. You will have strong communication skills, coupled with the ability to prioritise across simultaneous work streams.

A relevant qualification to at least HND level and/or at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role is also necessary for the role. Salary: £22,074 - £24,221.

Finance Officer - They are looking for an exceptional, innovative, community minded individual to join their team. The post-holder will work alongside the Chief Executive and the Board of Trustees to manage and deliver the financial operations of the organisation. Considerable experience of managing the finance function of a small to medium sized organisation including preparation of management and annual accounts is essential, as is extensive experience of the payroll function, including year-end procedures and experience of Sage 50 Accounts and Payroll software.

A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, especially Excel, is required. You will have strong communication skills, coupled with the ability to prioritise across simultaneous work streams. A relevant qualification to at least HND level and/or at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role is also necessary for the role. This post is an interesting and varied role within a dynamic third sector organisation. Salary£24,988 - £27,674.

MAP Community Development WorkerMAP supports prisoners in HMP & YOI Grampian to return positively into the community having used media as a unique development platform to address and overcome a range of issues prior to release. The project, a partnership with HMP Grampian, is delivering the first cross-platform, peer-led, Creative Media Unit within a UK prison.

The post-holder will develop and provide a coordinated throughcare support package to all participants taking part in the MAP Community Integration Support Service by developing strong working partnerships with all stakeholders developing participation in case conferences with participants and support services pre-release overseeing and coordinating regular meetings with participants post-release to monitor progress against the Plan offering on-going support and inputs as and when required and ensuring that staff team members and partner organisations are kept up to speed with participants’ progress. You will also undertake and continue to develop on-going evaluations and assist in carrying these out when required. Salary: £24,988 - £27,674
