Tenterden Folk Festival: Volunteers Area: KentDeadline: open (festival in October) Tenterden Folk Festival is seeking new volunteer committee members to help organise and run the annual four day festival which celebrated 25 years in 2017. If you have good organisational skills or are good at fundraising or marketing you might enjoy volunteering for Tenterden Folk Festival during the year. Alternatively you may like meeting new people and would prefer to be doing a more active role such as organising stewards or street collectors over the festival weekend. Perhaps you have experience or skills associated with producing a souvenir programme or similar publication including selling advertising space to local businesses and organisations, proof reading or distribution. Following the retirement of the stalls organiser, the Festival is also looking for one or two volunteer to take on this role. You could be involved in the administration and taking bookings from stallholders. Over the festival weekend it involves marking out stall pitches, meeting and greeting stallholders on arrival and dealing with their questions. You would be there to make sure that the setup and breakdown all goes smoothly and that the site is left clean and tidy. You would be liaising with festival stewards and the public. All these volunteer roles involve working with other committee members, volunteers and charity Trustees. The Committee meets approximately six times a year in Tenterden. Between meetings the committee keeps in touch by email and phone. If you are interested drop an email to the Festival Director at [email protected] or complete the form on the Festival website.
