Deadline: 5pm, Sunday 10 September 2017

The Achates Philanthropy Foundation was established in 2016 to act as an incubator for innovation in the cultural sector, encouraging new philanthropy and improving organisational resilience. It both develops programmes and responds to project proposals which meet its aims.

The Achates Philanthropy Prize is an opportunity to celebrate and share the stories behind the development of a new generation of philanthropists in the context of both standstill cultural philanthropy in Britain and a competitive fundraising climate.

Now in its second year, the prize invites cultural organisations to nominate first time individual and business philanthropists to the arts with an overall prize fund of £10,000. Each winning cultural organisation will receive a £5,000 donation and both the winning philanthropist and business will be awarded a Peter Brooke Ball sculpture, of which they will be custodian of for a year. The prize is generously supported by Achates Philanthropy Limited, along with BOP Consulting and Spektrix.
