Up For ArtsUp For Arts is a partnership between Voluntary Arts and BBC Radio stations across the UK.

The Up for Arts broadcasters/producers connect with individuals and groups in their local area, to celebrate their creative activity and inspire radio listeners to get creative themselves.

There are currently Up For Arts partnerships operating in Cardiff, Leeds, Cumbria, Devon, Lincolnshire and Coventry & Warwickshire. We aim to extend this project to other local radio stations in the future.

Watch and listen with Up For Arts

In 2019, BBC Radio Wales encouraged people to send in selfies to appear on a giant Welsh flag, to give to the Welsh Rugby Team before they flew off to Japan for the Rugby World Cup. See the results here.

In 2018, BBC Radio Merseyside listeners teamed up to create a First World War soldier in Liverpool Cathedral. Watch them at work here.

Listen to Up For Arts producer, Rachel New talk about her latest creative journal on BBC Sounds.
