Volunteer Invigilators are needed for Art in Healthcare’s exhibition at Inverleith House, Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh.

The exhibition will take place over two floors of the building: the first floor will show artworks from Art in Healthcare’s collection (not for sale). The second floor will show artworks from Barbara Rae and Victoria Crowe (Art in Healthcare’s Patrons) and other artists – for sale.

This is a fundraising exhibition, where artists from Art in Healthcare’s collection have joined to sell artworks to support the work of Art in Healthcare.

Dates required:

6 June – Opening evening – 6–8.30pm

7 June – 16 June – 10am to 5pm

Opening evening invigilators – the opening exhibition will be a very busy event, with over 100 people expected to visit the exhibition. Refreshments will be provided. The invigilators will assist in making sure that visitors are directed and guided within the building if required, answer visitor queries and refer to members of staff, generally supervise the exhibition and the safety of artworks.

One invigilator will be required to take note of the number of visitors joining the exhibition event.

Day-time invigilators - you will assist in making sure that visitors enjoy their experience of viewing the exhibition, will answer questions related to art on display or Art in Healthcare (Art in Healthcare will provide induction prior to starting with the role), answer purchase queries and forward queries/info to Art in Healthcare staff, report on any suspicious behaviour from visitors.

Please contact [email protected] with a brief expression of interest and availability. They will then invite you for an informal interview at Art in Healthcare.
