Deadline: 1 September 2018
Location: Glasgow

Cranhill Development Trust is looking for knitters to support members of its fortnightly Friday morning drop-in group, Cranhill Good Yarns.

The group provides a safe place to socialise and learn new skills, and works on charitable projects such as making premature babies clothing, donations for Glasgow City mission and Dogs Trust, as well as fundraising through craft fair stalls for organisations close to their heart. Tea, biscuits and conversations are plentiful within this group project.

They are looking for new volunteers that have basic skills in knitting - their members are happy to teach and help develop knitting, crochet and sewing skills. New volunteers should be happy to meet and chat with new people, and be patient when supporting otheres.

Volunteers are supported by the Trust with an in-house career guidance service (if needed), IT skills training provided by the Kelvin College, and opportunities with the Volunteer Coordinator to develop your own initiatives.

Travel and cafe expenses will be reimbursed.
