We've teamed up with Volunteer Scotland and the Open University to make sure their new Volunteer Management training reflects the needs of small, voluntary-led groups - but we need your help!

Join us for a consultation workshop and networking lunch in Glasgow on Wednesday 6 June, to share your volunteer challenges and successes, meet other groups working locally and find out what support is available.

This workshop is being coordinated by Volunteer Scotland and the Open University, who are working to develop a 'Volunteer Management – The Essentials' course that will be available for free on the Open University online platform. Voluntary Arts Scotland is supporting this process by encouraging volunteer-led cultural groups to attend this consultation event and will be there on the day to support and advise.

The event will be held at Collaborate in Glasgow City Centre on 6 June - refreshments will be available from 9.45am, the workshop will take place at 10am and a networking lunch will be provided at 12pm.

This is an opportunity to help shape a programme of volunteer management training to make sure it is relevant to your organisation - a piece of training that, when complete, you can use, for free, to help guide your group on how best to recruit, reward and retain volunteers.

Travel expenses for mileage or public transport to get to this event will be covered if you’re attending in a voluntary capacity.

For more information and to book your place, see eventbrite. If you have any questions about this event, please contact - [email protected]

We look forward to seeing you there and including you in this process!
