Opportunities Arts volunteering Watermans: Trustees Area: LondonDeadline: 12pm, Friday 6 December 2019 Watermans is West London’s leading arts centre with over 400,000 visits across its year-round programme of high-quality exhibitions, theatre, cinema and festivals, as well as an extensive outreach programme across Hounslow. It has a mission to inspire communities through creative practice. Beyond its main venue, Watermans programmes and produces two outdoor arts festivals: Bell Square in Hounslow and Hayes Outdoor in Hayes, to extend access to the arts among new audiences and promote community cohesion. It leads Creative People & Places Hounslow, the major strategic engagement programme funded by Arts Council England; and Circulate, a consortium of London arts venues creating a London-wide outdoor arts touring network. So Watermans is a vibrant, innovative and ambitious organisation with a clear purpose, and we are looking for individuals who share our vision of inspiring communities through creativity and the arts, and who can bring their energy and skills to our Board of Trustees. It is particularly interested to receive applications from younger people, from Black and minority ethnic people, and from people with connections to the Polish community.
